I think that in this scenario your questions are misleading. most people during the civill rights era didn't care for political violence. I constantly get on the professors in my academic center, because their question are reactions to political ideologies..rarely are those questions aligned with a historical chord..when we do that we see that people hold personal beliefs that would algin for better community, until we identify who they believe are part of the community.. as such we constantly keep having surface levels discourse
