Just a friendly thought about your project name (not your logo). Debates don't always have a 'winner'. Differences of opinion, i.e., conflicts, are best resolved with a win-win solution for both sides of the debate/discussion, in which a party can 'win' but also allow for compromise to benefit the other. When I read your project name, my first thought was one side wins and the other side loses. Not sure that's what you intend. And perhaps it was just my initial reaction. Just a thought. Very happy for you in your new endeavor. Still woefully miss the sound of your voice every morning.:)
Hey there, thanks for your feedback! My goal with this project is to create debates that absolutely have a clear winner or loser. I 100% agree that life isn’t always that cut and dried. My concern is that people need to see what it’s like when an argument ENDS, decisively. Some “debates” are indeed finite, such as elections. And without giving people a model for closure in an argument, I fear that bickering is the best we’ll get. Besides, people also deserve to feel the satisfaction of a successful argument so they can refine their persuasive skills: hence, “Stop arguing. Start winning.” With all that said, I also want to help people with everyday open-ended conversations as well, so I think you’ll be pleased with the outcome. Point well taken, though; thank you! 😊
