ON THIS EPISODE: Do you trust the media’s reporting on the war in Israel? One critic’s questionable claim got a number of journalists in Gaza in hot water… and in real danger.

This podcast comes from Friday’s live stream. Follow the show on Twitch, YouTube or Facebook to never miss an episode.

I’ve got a bone to pick with a group that’s upset over mainstream coverage of Israel. They basically accused some photographers covering Gaza of being complicit with Hamas. That led two Israeli politicians to say those journalists should meet the same fate as the terrorists. Why is their critique problematic? And what does it really take to cover a war?

First, I share my thoughts on Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV). He just announced that he’s not running for re-election, raising new problems for Democrats. His decision could shape his party’s whole strategy for the election… which, I suspect, is just the way he likes it.

This week was a big step forward for me, with three live 2-hour episodes. Quite a learning curve, but I’m having so much fun doing it. Join me Wednesday-Friday from 2-4pm Eastern Time — at least, for now. I’m not sure what the schedule will end up being, but that’s my starting point.

Thanks as always for your support. This program has gone through a lot of evolutions in a very short time, but I believe in iterating swiftly and smartly. It’s going to take much more work to evolve The Night Light into what it needs to be. Your support lets me know that it’s worth it, so let’s keep going. Enjoy this episode, and let me know what you think of the video stream.
